This one is mostly for Editor Miranda because she has a girlboner for object manipulation. One too many Renn Fayres.

Really, just for being you, but more importantly reminding me no matter how weird I am you will always be weirder.
I was going to write a post about how the woman in the Delta safety videos is like the Hendricksian, naughty southern ginger version of Flo, but lo and behold the Internet has beaten me to the punch. Not only that, but they’ve taken it upon themselves to give her a pornstar-style and more-Googleable name—Deltalina—and a bounty of fetish sites dedicated to her finger-wagging.
Also, sorry this morning is all about horses and weird boners. Here’s hoping there’s no cross contamination later on today.
An Anthony Bowyer-Lowe hack for Music Hack Day London takes any word of your choosing and spits out some piping hot techno based on its composition.
Much like with any new dictionary, I started with the cusses.
Get nothing else done today! Split them dots.
Early morning Friday jam.
For those of you who use Spotify (those who don’t, how the fuck do you survive?) you may have noticed they are rolling out their own version of apps. Since my coffee maker is trying to run apps these days, I was a little wary.
But it’s actually really good, you guys! There’s one to make playlists based on your mood (although it’s lacking a sad/Elliot Smith button). Pitchfork and Rolling Stone have their reviews and lists on there.
But the coolest thing is an app with songkick on it. It takes your most listened to/favorited artists and then lets you know if they are playing near you soon. If that’s not the best thing ever I don’t know what is! Between this and Siri I might actually remember any of the things I say I’m going to do.
Some of us here at The Shandy (okay, one of us, the one that is not co-editor Ben), are ridiculously excited for HBO’s adaptation of George R.R. Martin‘s A Game of Thrones, which is premiering April 17th.
And nothing stokes a fantasy fan’s fire like some good old em-effing cosplay. The Game of Thrones promo team set up a photobooth at WonderCon in San Francisco last weekend, and the results are positively delightful!
A few more of my favorites after the jump!
Why am I not playing this right now? Gah!
Via everywhere this morning
Everything about this is amazing.
Ward Shelly’s beautiful map of the history of sci-fi has only non linear uses for time and space. Also, I like how Anne Rice and Stephen King live down in the same hole.
